2006年11月にスタートし、数少ないサンデーアフタヌーンのドラムンベースパーティーとして熱狂的な夜を演出してきたNEON。
ICICLE,SPECTRASOUL,REDEYES,LENZMANなどのアーティストたちを招聘し、常にドラムンベースの新たな方向性を示唆してきた。
2010年4月には、”DEEPFLOW FM TOKYO”と称したPODCASTINGプログラムをスタート。世界のアーティストをフィーチャーし、東京初の最先端のサウンドを提供している。
レジデント陣のリリースなどプロデューサーとしても多様な活動をする中、2010年7月、NEONが新たな伝説の夜を蘇らせる。
■HEAVY1 (VAMPIRE UK/RUBIK RECORDS/HE:DIGITAL/NEON)
17歳のときにテクノ、ミニマルハウス、ヒップホップ、ロック、ダブなどのさまざまな音楽に影響を受け、ドラムンベースの制作を開始する。
20歳でDJかつプロモーターとして彼自身のパーティ、NEONを立ち上げ、これまでにIcicle、Lenzman、Redeyes、Spectrasoulを東京に招聘。
彼のプロダクションスキルはIcicleが日本に来た時にヒントを得て、劇的に進化した。
最近では、楽曲がDJ Bailey、DJ Flight、Makoto、Sonic、Crrisy Criss、Icicle、Nymfo、Reso、Jay Romeなどのアーティストのサポートを受け、BBC Radio1や BBC 1xtra、Rinse FM、D&B TV、Bassdriveでもプレイされている。
彼は既に日本のニュースクールドラムンベースシーンを牽引する存在となり、2010年、新たなプロデューサーたちの波に乗り、世界のシーンにおいてもその存在を輝かすだろう。
Heavy1 (Hironao Kawabata) was born and raised in Japan.
At the age of 17 he got into producing drum'n'bass music Influenced by techno, minimal house , hip hop , Rock , Dub etc on his computer .
At the age of 20 he started makin own night 'Neon' , as promoter and DJ.Untill now he had ever brought to Icicle , Lenzman , Redeyes , SpectraSoul in Tokyo.
When Icicle came to Tokyo , Icicle gave him the chance how to make beats.At that time his productions changed dramatically.
Currently his productions are supported on BBC Radio1 , BBC 1xtra , Rinse FM , D&B TV , Bassdrive and gettin played by names like DJ Bailey , DJ Flight , Makoto , Sonic , Crrisy Criss , Icicle , Nymfo , Reso , Jay Rome , and more name.
Watch out for forthcomin releases on labels like: Makoto's new label ‘ HE:Digital ’ , Syncopix and Jay Rome's new label ‘ Sync:Saphir ’ , Source Direct's label‘ Vampire Records ’, to name a few.He has already been the leader of new school drum'n'bass in Japan, and gonna be ride the global wave of new producers on 2010.
